Queen's Funeral - 19th September

It was decided at the MQL Council Meeting this evening that out of respect for Her Majesty the Queen all MQL matches planned to take place on 19th September 2022, the day of her State Funeral, should be postponed.

For Liverpool teams, the questions that have been sent out to you should be kept safe and used for the re-scheduled game, this game should be played on the return fixture 9th January 2023.

Frank McFarlane

Frank McFarlane, MQL chairman, sadly passed away aged 78 in the early hours of the morning of Saturday 12th February at the Royal Hospital in Liverpool. He was taken seriously ill just before Christmas and in spite of fighting hard, was unable to overcome the complications that arose from the emergency surgery

At nearly 16 years Frank was our longest serving Chairman and we will miss his calm and wise leadership. Our condolences to his wife Julia, family and friends in the Liverpool Quiz League.
